Bless, oh Mary, bless me, your child

1. Bless, oh Mary, bless me, your child,
that I may find peace here on earth and there in heaven!
Bless all my thinking, bless all my doing!
: Let me rest in your blessing day and night! :‌

2. Bless, oh Mary, bless all those who I love!
Give them your motherly blessing every day!
Hold your motherly hands over them all!
: Bless every heart, bless every home! :‌

3. Bless, oh Mary, bless everyone who struggles,
who in anguish and pain prays for Your intercession!
Hold Your hands over them all, so they do not falter,
: so they may keep fighting courageously, and at last be victorious! :‌

4. Bless, oh Mary, bless all those who hurt me,
who so deeply injure and wound me!
Bring them peace and true salvation!
: Let them participate in eternal life! :‌

5. Bless, oh Mary, bless all who have been good to me!
May they be rewarded for their faithfulness!
What they have done to me, kindly repay them,
: grant them every gift of grace! :‌

6. Bless, O Mary, bless all who are in pain!
Pour out comfort and peace into their wounded hearts!
Always be close to them with your help!
: Through night and darkness always be a bright star! :‌

7. Bless, oh Mary, bless our country,
that it may stand firm in true faithfulness!
Your power and goodness, oh Queen, pour out on us!
: May You be the Mother of Mercy to all the poor children! :‌

8. Bless, oh Mary, bless me, Mother of God,
that I, here on earth, may be at your command!
Lead me to Jesus, your Son,
: that in His love I may be saved! :‌

10. Bless, oh Mary, belss our last hour!
Sweet words of comfort whisper from Your mouth!
With Your gentle hands close our eyes!
: Remain in death and in life our constant blessing! :‌

A folk song:

Bless, oh Mary, our priesthood

1. Bless, oh Mary, bless our priesthood,
Richly bless each priest’s hands!
Bless their work for the kingdom of God,
: By thy blessing make them all like the Saviour! :‌

2. Bless, oh Mary, bless every priestly word,
that it may bear fruit in the hearts of all!
Spread your mother’s hands over all!
: Bless all hearts, bless every house! :‌

3. Bless, oh Mary, bless every priest’s heart,
may they follow Jesus faithfully in joy and in pain!
Strengthen their faith, increase the light of hope,
: bless their love, let it not waver! :‌

4. Bless, oh Mary, bless the heart of every priest,
bless his joys, and bless his sorrows!
Bless all his struggles to the end,
: stay by his side on his way into the light! :‌

5. Bless, oh Mary, bless our nation
and all the children, bring them to Your Son!
Bless all sinners who are on earth,
: bless them, oh Mary, with Your dear Child! :‌

6. Bless, oh Mary, church and country,
hold your motherly hand over both!
Spread your mantle over all,
: bless all hearts, bless every home! :‌
